Zikar-e-Jameel

Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Shafee Okarvi [Rahmatul Laah Alaieh]
ZIKR EJAMEEL
Introduction.....
Mentioning / Remembrances of Hazrat Muhammad ﷺ is worship
Hazrat Muhammad ﷺ said that mentioning Prophets and pious removes sins. When mentioning Prophets and saints is worship and removes sins then imagine what would be the status of remembrance / mentioning the Leader of all Prophets. Obviously, remembrance of Prophet ﷺ is the base of faith and calms one’s heart and soul. Keeping in mind this fact I have attempted to write this book. I realize that I am a sinful person having less knowledge, how can I explain the status of the last Prophet Hazrat Muhammad ﷺ. But due to the activities of the few insolent and GUSTAAKH elements who under the cover of Tauheed (Unity of Allaah), are trying to remove the respect and greatness of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad ﷺ and Aulia (saints) from the hearts of Muslims; I decided to write these few pages having faith that Allaah ﷻ would support me in this noble cause.
I have hopes from Allaah ﷻ that Muslims hearts would get enlightened through this book in which the greatness of Hazrat Muhammad ﷺ has been mentioned.

They would get basic knowledge to reject any false speech or writing of those who deny the greatness of the Prophet Hazrat Muhammad ﷺ. I pray to Allaah ﷻ that for sake of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad ﷺ He accepts my humble attempt, forgive my sins and on the Day of Judgment resurrect me among those who praised Hazrat Muhammad ﷺ.
In this book apparent look of Hazrat Muhammad ﷺ from head to toe has been discussed. All the miracles and blessings of Hazrat Muhammad ﷺ have been discussed.

Hadees Shareef

Hazrat Abu Hurairaa reported: The #Prophet #Muhammad of Allaah Kareem, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The #world is a #prison for the believer and a #paradise for the unbeliever.”

Qila Khyber Hazrat Saiyyidinaa Alee/Ali (Karramal Laahu Wajhu)

Hazrat Saiyyidinaa Alee (Karramal Laahu Wajhu)
1460th Birthday (Yaum e Wilaadat Mubaarak) of Ameer ul Mumineen Hazrat Saiyyidinaa Alee (Karramal Laahu Wajhahul Kareem)

This verse of the Holy Quraan was also revealed in praise of Hazrat Alee [Radiyal Laahu Anhu]
“Those who spend their wealth in charity during the night and the day, (both) discreetly and openly. For them, they have a generous reward by their Lord. They have no fear nor do they have any grief.”

Hazrat ibn Abaas [Radiyal Laahu Anhu] states that Hazrat Ali/Alee [Radiyal Laahu Anhu].had only four dirhams with him. He distributed one dirham as charity at night and one dirham in the day. He then gave one dirham discreetly and one dirham openly. It was on this, that the above mentioned verse of the Quraan was revealed.

Hazrat Imraan bin Haseen [Radiyal Laahu Anhu] reports that the Prophet [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] said, “Alee is mine and I am his, and he is the beloved of all the believers.”

Hazrat Sahl ibn Saad [Radiyal Laahu Anhu]says, “On the day of Khaibar, the Prophet [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] said,

‘Tomorrow I shall give this flag in the hand of that person, through whom Almighty Allaah shall grant us victory. That person loves Allaah and His Rasool, and Allaah Kareem and His Rasool [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] love him.’

When morning came, all the companions of the Prophet [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] came into the court of the Prophet [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] hoping that they would be the one who shall be chosen in whose hand the flag shall be given, but the Prophet [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] asked,

‘Where is Alee?’ It was said that his eyes were sore through an infection. The Prophet [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] said,

‘Call him’ He was thus called and the Prophet [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] put his blessed saliva into his eyes and they became well, as if they were never sore. He [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] then gave the flag in his hand.”

[Saheeh Bukhaari - Saheeh Muslim]

HIS CHARACTER: The life of Hazrat Ali/Alee [Radiyal Laahu Anhu].was a beautiful example of good character. It is stated that even though he was blessed with an exalted status, he never showed himself to be above others. He always lived a very simple and humble life. He also helped with the household chores. He would often be seen sewing a patch in his torn clothing. Even when the Prophet [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] had commanded the Sahaba to dig a trench, Hazrat Ali/Alee [Radiyal Laahu Anhu].worked like an ordinary laborer.

HIS KINDNESS AND GENEROSITY: He was a very kind and generous personality. He never caused pain to anyone. Even if someone committed an error, he explained to him with great kindness and love. Hazrat Abu Dhaar Ghafaari [Radiyal Laahu Anhu]says,

“Hazrat Ali/Alee [Radiyal Laahu Anhu].was very exalted, brave, Truthful, soft hearted and kind. The desire to help the poor flowed in him like the huge waves of the sea. He used to travel far away from home, to assist the sick, old, poor, orphans, crippled and downtrodden.”

WHAT IS URS SHAREEF?

Urs is the day of the passing away of the noble Saints. The word Urs has been taken from the Hadees: "Sleep just like the bride." (Mishkhaat Shareef) The Angels say to the Pious in the grave, "Sleep with restfulness and comfort just like a bride."
On the day of the passing away of a Saint or on a specific date, his admirers, disciples, followers and relatives assemble together at the grave of the Saint to obtain spiritual benefit and celebrate the anniversary with rejoice.
It is also very worthy to recite the Quraan Shareef and pass on the Sawaab (reward) to their soul and to recite Faatihah and distribute sweetmeat among those present.

The Anaasagar Lake
Khawaajah Saahib and his followers pronounced the Call to Prayer (azaan) five times daily and performed salaah in jamaat.  Nearby there was a lake called, Anaasagar where they performed their ritual ablution (wudhu). The center of misbelief and idol worship daily heard the proclamation of the Unity of Allaah [Ta’aalaa] [Tauheed] and the Divine Commission of the Holy Prophet Muhammad [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam][Risaalat]. People used to come out of the temples and homes curious to know what is being announced when the A’zaan was called. Seeing the congregation prostrating invoked questions as to whom were they prostrating since no idol was in front of them. Seeing this five times daily and hearing the Remembrance Of Allaah (zikr) had such an effect that the audience themselves stated reciting ‘He Is The Truth’ (Haqq Huu). Many came and joined the circle of Khawaajah Saahib and the spreading of Islaam commenced. Many accepted Islaam just by seeing the God given beauty and exemplary character of Khawaajah Saahib. Almighty Allaah’s Divine Assistance was with him and the look of grace from the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him, his family and his companions), since he was Divinely Commissioned for this mission.

At Ajmer Shareef
At that time the Tanwara Family were prominent in Delhi, whilst the Chohaan Clan controlled Ajmer, in Gujarat the Baderia Clan were prominent and the ruling king at Lahore was Khusrau Malak, the last of the stars of the Ghaznavi Dynasty.
The situation in India was such that many of the prominent kings, families and clans were becoming political rebels in their quest for power. The King of Delhi sent his nephew Pirthivi Raaj known as Rai Pathoraa to rule over Ajmer, since he had no children of his own. At that time, in Hindustaan, this area was the center of misbelief (kufr) and idol-worship. There were many temples in Ajmer, one of them being exclusively used by the King his wives and the ruling class. The poor were not allowed in this temple. The king, for the upkeep of this temple, donated the revenue of many villages. It is recorded that so many lamps burnt in that temple that daily large quantities of oil was utilized. Many were employed for is upkeep. So, Khawaajah Saahib came to settle in the hub of misbelief (kufr) and idol-worship. Khawaajah Saahib was about 52 years old [587 AH / 1191 AD] on arrival at Ajmer.

The Greatest Imaam [Al-Imaam al-Aa'zam] Hazrat Imaam e Azam Abuu Haneefah [Rahmatul Laahi Alaieh]

.Quote of the Imaam…
" Education acquired for Worldly
Benefit will never take place in Heart"

Hazrat Imaam e Azam Abuu Haneefah [Rahmatul Laahi Alaieh]

Even while maintaining the rigor of his principles, Hazrat al Imaam al A’zam, Abu Haneefah was very human and had a keen sense of humor. Once a man asked him about taking a swim in the river. “Should I face the Qiblaa when I bathe in the river”, asked the man. “No”, replied the Imaam, “You should face the bank of the river and watch your clothes”.

His success and his greatness made the political establishment of the times jealous of him. In 766 CE Caliph al Mansoor asked  Hazrat Imaam Abu Haneefah  [Rahmatul Laah Alaieh]to be the chief Qaazi (judge) of Baghdad. The Caliph had hoped that by offering him a high post he could bring the Imaam under his control. But the great Ulamaah’s and sages and Auliyaa Allaah have through the ages refused the favors of kings, ministers and noblemen to maintain their independence. Hazrat Imaam e Azam Abuu Haneefah
[Rahmatul Laahi Alaieh] declined. The Caliph, furious that his invitation was rejected, had the Imaam flogged and put in jail. Even in the prison, the Imaam continued to teach and train his disciples. And it was in prison that this great mujtahid breathed his last in the year 767 CE.

Hazrat Imaam e Azam Abuu Haneefah
[Rahmatul Laahi Alaieh]- passed away while in Salaah. He had been poisoned by the orders of Caliph Mansoor. His Naamaaz e Janazaa was performed six times and each time 50 000 people took part. People continued to come and pray for him for 20 days after he was buried. He was 70 years old. In 459 A.H.
The tribute to this giant among scholars is that a large majority of Muslims around the world, from Istanbul to Dhakaa, from Samarqand to Cairo, use the Fiqh named after him.

Hazrat Imaam e Azam Abuu Haneefah [Rahmatul Laahi Alaieh]Imaam of Imaams

Lamp of the Ummah; Leader of the Jurists - Haafiz e-Hadees, was a prestigious Muhaddis, authoritative person, truthfully spoken, abstinent, wise, and pious. He was an imam, pious, knowledgeable, someone who practiced, someone who indulged in great worship and a man of great ranking; he would not accept the sultan’s gifts but would trade and earn a living.
Thousands of literary works have been compiled by Hazrat Imaam e Azam Abuu Haneefah
[Rahmatul Laahi Alaieh]
Early Life and Education

He was born in 699 in the Iraqi city of Kufa, to a family of Persian origin. His father, was a successful businessman in Kufa and thus the young Hazrat Abu Haneefah  [Rahmatul Laahi Alaieh] intended to follow in his father’s footsteps. Living under the oppressive reign of the governor of Iraq, al-Hajjaj ibn Yusuf, Hazrat Abu Haneefah stayed focused on running the family silk-making business and generally steered clear of scholarship. With the death of al-Hajjaj in 713 came the removal of oppressive policies regarding scholars, and Islaamic scholarship soared in Kufa, especially during the reign of Umar ibn Abdul-Aziz (717-720).
Thus, by his teenage years, Hazrat Abu Haneefah began to study under some of the resident scholars of Kufa. He even got the opportunity to meet many companions of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, among them Hazrat Anas ibn Maalik, Hazrat Sahl ibn Saa’d, and Jaabir ibn Abdul laah.[Radiyal Laahu Anhum Ajam’een].

After learning from some of the greatest scholars of Kufa, he went on to study in Makaah and Madeenaah under numerous teachers, who were known as one of the greatest scholars of Makaah at the time.
He soon became an expert in the sciences of Fiqh (jurisprudence), Tafseer (exegesis of the Quraan), and Kalaam (seeking theological knowledge through debate and reason).

Hazrat Imaam Abu Haneefah [Rahmatul Laah Alaieh]

Hazrat Imaam Abu Haneefah [Rahmatul Laah Alaieh] was the founder of the Sunni Hanafi school of fiqh (Islaamic jurisprudence). He is also considered a renowned Islaamic scholar and personality. He is often called "the Great Imaam" (ألإمام الأعظم, al-Imāam al-Aʿẓam).
Hazrat Imaam Abu Haneefah [Rahmatul Laah Alaieh] was born in 80A.H, in the city of Kufaa in Iraq, during the reign of the Umayyad Caliph Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan… living in the time when there were still some Sahaaba living. He saw the famous companion, Anas Bin Maalik [Radiyal Laah Anhu] and six other companions too. He learnt Ahadees from a group of Taabi’een, and spent much of his time in worship.

Hazrat Imaam Abu Haneefah [Rahmatul Laah Alaieh] is regarded as one of the greatest jurists of Arab civilization and one of the major legal philosophers of the entire human community. He attained a very high status in the various fields of sacred knowledge and significantly influenced the development of Muslim religion.
During his lifetime he was acknowledged as a jurist of the highest caliber.
Outside of his scholarly achievements Hazrat Imaam Abu Haneefah [Rahmatul Laah Alaieh] was recognized as a man of the highest personal qualities: a performer of good works, remarkable for his self-denial, humble spirit, devotion and pious awe of [God] Allaah Kareem.
His tomb, surmounted by a dome erected by admirers in 1066 is still a shrine for pilgrims who visit from all over the world in Baghdad Shareef.

Prophetic traditions and food:Honey

('asal)--Allaah Kareem has said: "There comes forth, from within [the bee], a beverage of many colors in which there is a healing for you." Mixed with hot water, and taken in several small doses, honey is considered the best remedy for  stomach problems.
“Honey is a remedy for every illness and the Qur’aan is a remedy for all illness of the mind, therefore I recommend to you remedies, the Qur’aan and honey” [Bukhaari]

Within me resounds the melody of Kalimaa,
The melody that love has taught me to hear.
Why don’t you put away your books,
And forget that you have learnt from them –
For within the Kalimaa you will find The fourteen inner realms.
Scholars sharpen reeds into pens,
But they are not capable of writing the true Kalimaa.
This Kalimaa has rid me of all afflictions Of the body and mind –
Only a Master could have taught it to me, O Baahuu.- -

My Master(Spiritual Guide) has planted in my heart,
The jasmine of Allaah [Ta'aalaa’s] Name.
Both my denial that the Creation is real And my embracing of God,
the only reality, Have nourished the seedling down to its core.
When the buds of mystery unfolded Into the blossoms of revelation,
My entire being was filled with [Allaah Kareem] God’s Fragrance.
May the perfect Master Who planted this jasmine in my heart,
Be ever blessed, O Baahuu!

Hazrat Sultaan Baahuu (Rahmatul Laahi ‘Alaieh) (1630 - 1691 AD) belonged to the Qaadiri Order of Soofie  and is known by the title of Sultaan-ul-Arifeen (king of the Gnostics). He is acknowledged as one of the most prominent Soofie poets of the Indo-Pak subcontinent.
Sultaan Baahuu like many other soofie saints of the South Asia, was  a prolific writer, with more than 100 books attributed to him. However, as the majority of his books deal with specialized subjects related to Islaam, it is his Punjabi poetry that has generated popular appeal and made him a household name in the region.....

DEOBAND TO BAREILLY-QUOTES

Why is the thumb print of one man different from the thumbprint of another man’s? This is only a small matter. This universe itself is the most wondrous thing. This earth and skies, this #moon and stars, this ocean and rivers, these planets, this mystery of morning and evening, this changing of seasons, this rainbow, this milky way of colors, this flood of colors and light. What are they, why are they, and for whom are they made? ………

#Life and death and this system of the universe are beyond man’s intellectual grasp. Almighty Allaah has, of course endowed man with intellect but not to an unlimited or uncountable extent. Those who have crossed their limits they keep getting more entangled. The eyes can see only as much as it is in its control. The mind can think only as much as it can bear beyond that the veins would burst.
Intellect is not the destination. Had it been so then after passing of thousands of generation the man would have reached some destination. Intellect can only be the way it can never be the destination. As the poet has said,
“Shaayed ‘Usay ‘lshq Bhee Na Samjhe
Jis Karb Mayn ‘Aql Mubtilaa Hai”
(Perhaps even love cannot understand the anguish which intellect undergoes.)

Masjid Abu Bakr Siddeeq [Radiyal Laahu Anhu]

Masjid Abu Bakr Siddeeq [Radiyal Laahu Anhu] is located at the corner of Masjid e Nabawi Shareef in Madinah –Arabia. It is located at the west southern side of the Honorable Prophet’s Mosque, and it is about (1000) meters from its current fence.

This was Home of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddeeq [Radiyal Laahu Anhu] which was later converted to a Masjid by Authorities.

It is narrated that the Prophet Muhammad [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] prayed Eid prayer at this site, and Abu Bakr Siddeeq [Radiyal Laahu Anhu] after Him during His Caliphate, so it was attributed to Him.

It was built-up for the first time in the Princedom of Omar Bin Abdul Aziz in Al Madeenah (86-91 A.H./705-709 A.D.), and it was renovated by the Ottoman Sultaan Mehmood II in 1254 A.H./1838 A.D.

It is square shaped and the length of its side is nine meters. It was built by black basalt stones, and was painted white from inside with a dome above it whose height is (12) m. Within the walled area is a small rectangular courtyard. The minaret is an austere cylindrical shape also capped with a green metal cone..

The Holy Prophet Muhammad

[Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] said, O ‘Abu Bakr, You made place for me in the cave, I will make place for you in my Burial Chamber (Mazaar). In the cave I slept on your lap but in my Burial Chamber you will sleep in my proximity.’ Unto this day Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddeeq [Radiyal Laahu Anhu] rests in the blessed Burial Chamber.

Excerpt from the TV Program Sarkaar Kaay Qadam Pouhanchay

By Hazrat Allaamah Kaukab Noorani Okarvi

Cave Saur/Thaur/Thawr
Believers love all the things and place that has any relation with Hazrat Muhammad ﷺ. All these places are sacred; a loving Mumin would like to sacrifice his life and wealth to visit these places. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ migrated to Madeenah because inhabitants of Makkah became his enemy after pronouncement of prophet hood. Chiefs of the tribes met in the Dar-u-Nadwah and decided to slay Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. All the tribes provided the swordsmen and these swordsmen besieged the house of Prophet with naked swords in their hands with their bad intention; in the house, Prophet of Allaah ﷺ and Hazrat Alee [Radiyal Laah Anhu] were present. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ had the deposits / trusts (Amaanat) of people of Makkah which he handed over to Hazrat Alee [Radiyal Laahu Anhu]and asked him to sleep on the bed, hand over the deposits to their respective owners and then come to Madeenah as Prophet was leaving for Madeenah.

Just imagine swordsmen are standing out with naked swords in their hands; Hazrat Ale [Radiyal Laahu Anhu] is being asked to sleep on Prophet’s [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam’s] bed, the belief of Hazrat Alee was so strong and he knew that Prophet is asking him to sleep so there was no need to be afraid. Hazrat Muhammad ﷺ left the house reciting the Soorah Yaaseen, reached the house of Hazrat Abu Bakr [Radiyal Laahu Anhu] they have to go to the Madeenah because it was ordered by Allaah [Ta’aalaa], Prophet Muhammad ﷺ changed the way and climbed up the highest peak of the Makkah, Turks and others have made a stairway for climbing that cliff but imagine at that time, it has a cave upon its peak. This cliff is known as Saur/Thaur, Saur was the son of Abdul Mannaf due to which it is known as mountain of Saur. Hazrat Abu Bakr [Radiyal Laahu Anhu] had swept the cave and closed all the holes in it, one hole was left open, Hazrat Abu Bakr [Radiyal Laahu Anhu] placed his heel over that hole, and offered Prophet to place head in his lap and take rest. Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddeeq had climbed up the mountain by carrying Prophet [Peace be upon Him] over his back. Prophet accepted his offer because Prophet knew that what reward Hazrat Abu Bakr [Radiyal Laahu Anhu] would get from Allaah Kareem] for his services

Hazrat Saiyyidinaa Abu Bakr Siddeeq [Radiyal Laahu 'Anhu] :The cave of Saur

This cave is located in the mountain of Saur nearly three miles away from the Holy city of Makkah at the height of about 1 to 1-1/2 miles. Now there are steps to climb the mountain. The Holy Prophet [Peace be Upon Him] had stayed in this cave for three days and nights when he set off on migration from Holy city of Makaah to the sacred Madeenah Shareef.

Hazrat Saiyyidinaa Abu Bakr Siddeeq [Radiyal Laahu 'Anhu] :The event of cave Saur

Excerpts from lecture by Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Shafee Okarvi [Rahmatul Laah Alaieh]

Jumua’h Lecture
Friday 21st Jamaadi ul-Awwal 1396 / 21st May 1976
Allaah [Ta’aalaa] says in the Holy Qur'aan, in the 9th Soorah,
At-Taubaah
سُورة التَّوْبَة, Verse 40:
ثَانِيَ اثْنَيْنِ إِذْ هُمَا فِي الْغَارِ إِذ يَقُولُ لِصَاحِبِهِ لاَ تَحْزَنْ إِنَّ اللّهَ مَعَنَا ْ
When they were in the cave, when he was saying to his companion "Do not grieve; indeed Allaah is with us"; then Allaah caused His calm to descend upon him and helped him with armies you did not see, and disgraced the word of the disbelievers; and Allaah’s Word is supreme; and Allaah is the Almighty, the Wise-Soorah Taubaah-Verse-40

When the Unbelievers drove him out: he had no more than one companion [Sahaabah]: they two were in the Cave, and he said to his companion, "Have no fear for Allaah[Kareem] is with us"
Respected audience, the Holy Prophet Muhammad [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] came as a model, example and mercy for all mankind. Every aspect of his blessed life ushers in some guidance for human beings of different categories in different situations. For example, those Muslim who are oppressed by the unbelievers and cannot take Allaah [Ta’aalaa’s] name or worship Him freely and openly, find solace in that aspect of the Holy Prophet’s e life that he migrated from oppression and settled in a place where he could freely mention Allaah [Ta’aalaa]’s name and worship Him.

The Holy Prophet [Peace be upon Him]  and his companions was tired of the oppression of the unbelievers….Allaah [Ta’aalaa] ordered him to migrate so as to make migration a Sunnah for the Community (Ummah). So he decided to migrate [Hijrat] to the city of Madeenah. When the Holy Prophet Muhammad [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] left his home, Hazrat Alee [Radiyal Laahu Anhu] was with him. Hazrat Alee slept on the bed of the Holy Prophet Muhammad [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] by his orders, when the Holy Prophet left his home to commence his migration. The unbelievers were keeping a watch on the house of the Rasoolul Laah and were waiting with swords drawn, to ensure that he does not escape alive.

The Holy Prophet Muhammad [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam], left his home whilst reciting Soorah Yaa Seen سُورة يٰس   and Allaah [Ta’aalaa] did not permit the unbelievers to see him. Allaah [Ta’aalaa] said to the Holy Prophet, ‘O My Beloved! Do not hide and leave your home. Recite the Holy Qur'aan and leave. For every aspect of your life, every saying and action of yours will be recorded to serve as a model for all future generations.’ So the Holy Prophet [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] left home reciting Soorah Yaa Seen سُورة يٰس. He went to the home of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddeeq [Radiyal Laahu Anhu] whom he found awake with a lamp lit in his home. The Holy Prophet Muhammad [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] asked. ‘O Abu Bakr! You are awake and waiting as if you knew I was coming?’

Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique [Radiyal Laahu Anhu] replied, ‘O Rasoolul Laah!
Some time back, within your discourse, you had stated that we will have to migrate from here, and you gestured towards me saying I would be your companion on this journey. I have not slept at night from that time. I thought what if, you, my Master, were to come at night with the enemy on your heels and I would be asleep. The period in which you would wake me could prove fatal, and you could be harmed. So my Master, I have not slept at night from that day on waiting for you.”

The Holy Prophet Muhammad [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] said, ‘Allaah [Ta’aalaa] has granted us permission to migrate. So let us leave.’
You have heard this incident being related previously. The Holy Prophet Muhammad [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] left with Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddeeq [Radiyal Laahu Anhu] About 6 miles from Makkah, there, is a mountain named Jabl e Saur, containing a cave called Ghaar e Saur. It is said that, ‘Witnessing has greater merit than merely being informed’. I have climbed this mountain and seen the cave that is located at a height of 3 miles. It is a difficult and hazardous climb, especially in the dark of night. Presently the kings of Turkey have made the climb less difficult by cutting the rock into a step. At that time it was very difficult to climb history records the belief, love and service of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddeeq, who said, ‘Master, climb onto my shoulders and I will carry you up.’ He carried the Holy Prophet Muhammad [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam]

.Imagine what esteem the Holy Prophet [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] must have held for Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddeeq at that time. What a state Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique  [Radiyal Laahu Anhu] must have been in? When they reached the cave Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique did not even mention that he was tired and desired rest but on the contrary he went inside and cleared up the cave.

You may know that there was a snake in that cave that had been informed that the beloved Prophet of Allaah [Ta’aalaa] would come into this cave hence it had made that cave its home with the desire of seeing the Prophet [Peace be upon Him]. After entering the cave, Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddeeq noticed that there were many holes in it. He tore up his clothing and sealed the holes and ran out of cloth to seal one. He put his toe into that hole with the intention that any creature may bite him, and even if he dies no discomfort must reach the Holy Prophet Muhammad [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam].

Then he offered his lap as pillow for the Prophet to rest his head on..
Behold the scene in the cave, who is sitting with the Leader of the Universe on his lap, may Allaah [Ta’aalaa] be well pleased with him, Our Guide, Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddeeq [radiyal Laahu Anhu]
After the Prophets, the greatest human,
He put his toe into the hole of the snake and absorbed the effect of the poisonous bite, out of love, in his heart
All this for his beloved, Rasool [Sallaal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam]
The effect of the poison brought tears into the eyes of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddeeq and the Holy Prophet asked him as to what was bothering him. He said, ‘O Master! A snake is continuously putting its poisonous fangs into my toe in this hole.’

The Holy Prophet [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] asked him to remove his toe from the hole, to which he replied, ‘O Master! If I do so, it will trouble you’. The Holy Prophet replied, ‘don’t be concerned, the snake loves me, it only wishes to see me.’ Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddeeq [Radiyal Laahu Anhu] removed his foot and the Holy Prophet Muhammad [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] applied his blessed saliva on the snakebite. This brought immediate relief to Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddeeq. The danger passed and the poisonous effect was dispelled with the order of Allaah [Ta’aalaa].

The snake came out of the hole and fulfilled its desire of seeing the Holy Prophet[Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam].He asked the snake, ‘Why did you bite my friend?’ It replied, ‘Master! Such a long period has passed in this cave with the desire that when you arrive I will see you. He had closed all avenues for me to come out. As much as I did not wish to harm him but I was forced to do so for I also love you and desired to see you.’ The snake then left. Why did the snake bite Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique [Radiyal Laahu Anhu]? The wisdom behind it was that he also might gain the rank of a martyrdom. In his last days he died of the effects of this same poisonous bite. Remember, he also is counted amongst the martyrs.

He carried the Holy Prophet [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam]on his shoulders to the cave, sacrificed his life, bore the effects of the poisonous snake bites and let his beloved sleep on his lap. Did the Rasoolul Laah recompense him for this service? Yes he did. Listen!....to be continued. In Shaa Allaah.
