THE MONTH OF BLESSINGS

Bismil Laahir Rahmaanir Raheem

As Salaatu Was Salaamu 'Alaieka Yaa Saiyyidee Yaa Rasoolal Laah wa 'Alaa Aalika Wa As haabika Yaa Saiyyidee Yaa Habeebi Yaa Habeebal laah

As Salaamu Alaiekum Wa Rahmatul Laahi Wa Barakaatuhu

(In the Islaamic calender, Ramadaan ul Mubaarak is the ninth month of the year.)

We were born from our mother's stomach after nine months, pure and clean. We did not have any of the sins on us.
So can't we make an effort every year after overcoming the ninth month (Ramadaan ul Mubaarak) we again  become clean and pure from sins like we were when we were born from the mother's stomach?

Yaa Allaah Kareem for the sake of YOUR beloved holy Prophet (Sallal Laahu Alaiehi Wa Sallam ) make this month of Ramadaan ul Mubaarak a new life for our souls.

Please forgive our sins which we have committed up til now. And in this month make us reach YOUR forgiveness, blessings and happiness

Ramadaan kareem

Ramadaan & Ahadees

The Holy Prophet Muhammad
[Sallal Laahu ‘Alaiehi Wa Sallam]
was the most generous among-st the people, and he used to be more so in the month of Ramadaan when Hazrat Jibraaeel  [Alaiehis Salaam] visited him, and He used to meet him on every night of Ramadaan till the end of the month. The Prophet  Muhammad
[Sallal Laahu ‘Alaiehi Wa Sallam]
used to be more generous than a fast wind
(which causes rain and welfare).

Ramadaan kareeem

Rasoolul laah [Sallal Laahu ‘Alaiehi Wa Sallam] has stated, "Eat Sahari because there is blessings in Sahari. The difference between our fast and the fast of the people of the book
(Christians and Jews), is the food we eat at Sahari."
(Bukhaari and Muslim)

Saying of our Beloved Prophet Muhammad [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam]

If people had known the reality of Ramadaan, my (Prophet's) Ummat would wish that the whole year may be Ramadaan

Ramadaan and Ahadees

Saying of our Beloved Prophet Muhammad [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam]
If people had known the reality of Ramadaan, my (Prophet's) Ummat would wish that the whole year may be Ramadaan.

Fiqh of fasting : The Intention of fast

INTENTION OF FAST
Q.1: What is meant by intention of fast?
A. "Neeyat" means to have firm intention of offering prayer in the heart. Expression of words by the tongue is not essential but desirable to harmonize the intention of the tongue with the heart. So is the case with the intention (Neeyat) of fasts.
Q.2: What is the wording of Neeyat?
A. If one makes "Neeyat" (intention) of fast during the night he should say:
I intended for the sake of Allaah that I will observe obligatory fast of this Ramadaan tomorrow
Adding "Inshaa Allaah Ta'aalaa" to the wording of Neeyat is desirable act provided that it is done with the intention of seeking Almighty Allaah's help and grace. Neeyat must be firm. If wavering, fast will not be deemed to have been observed.
Q.3: What time should Neeyat be made?
A. The time for Neeyat of obligatory fasts of Ramadaan, "Nazar Mo'aie-yan" and "Nafil" fasts begins at the sunset and lasts till the sun reaches meridian Shar'ee i.e. one should form Neeyat (intention) of fast at least 39 minutes and at most 48 minutes before "Zawaal" (decline of the sun). The intention of these three kinds of fasts can also be made in the day but it is commendable to do so during the night.

Ramadaan and Ahadees

Our Beloved Prophet Muhammad [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] have said..
There are eight gates of Paradise and one of those is called "Raiyaan". The believers who observe fasts will enter into paradise from this gate.

Fiqh of fasting Ramzan kareem.

Q.2: What is the importance of fast in Islaam?
Ans. The importance of "Saum" (fast) can be gauged from the fact that:
1. It is the fourth of five pillars of Islaam.
2. Fasts help maintain health and develop the body well.
3. Fasts cleanse and purify the heart, mind and soul.
4. Fasts acquaint the rich with the plight of the poor.
5. Fasts help promote equality among community members by bringing the well-to-do and poor at par.
6. Fasts firm up spiritual strength and weaken carnal forces.
7. Fasts help one become used to difficulties and hardships.
8. Fasts provide one with forbearance, patience and endurance against hunger and thirst.
9. Fasts provide mental and spiritual concentration and peace.
10. Fasts serve as sentinel against evils and sins.
11. Fasts inspire Islamic spirit and zeal to do virtuous deeds.
12. Observance of fast is a secret and quiet worship which is free from show and hypocrisy.
13. Fast is an effective source of warding off calamities and disasters.
There are many other benefits and advantages of fasts as defined by Quraan-o-Hadees.

Remembering & Honoring the Beloved Daughter of Prophet Muhammad [Sallal Laahu Alaiehi Wa Sallam]-3rd Ramadaan ul Mubaarak....

Some of the famous laurels awarded to Hazrat Faatimah (May Allaah be pleased with her) are Baatool, Zahraa, Taiyyibah, Tahiraah, and Zakiyaa. She is called Batool because throughout her lifetime she did not love this world and adopted independence from it. The titles Zahraa, Taiyyibah, and Taahirah reveal her purity. Such purity has not and will not be received by any woman in the world!

THE QURAAN ON FASTING

The first step for a Muslim to realize is the fact that fasting the month of Ramadaan is obligatory and that Allaah Almighty has prescribed it for us in His Mubaraak Holy Book:
Allaah [Subhanhu Wa Ta'alaa] has told us about Fasting in Ramadaan on several places in the Qur’aan Al Hakeem.

"Fasting for a fixed number of days is prescribed for you, but if any of you is ill or on a journey, the same number (should be made up) from other days. And as for those who can fast with difficulty, (an old man, etc.), they have (a choice either to fast or) to feed a poor person (for every day). But whoever does good of his own accord, it is better for him. And that you fast, it is better for you if only you know."
Allaah intends for you ease, and He does not want to make things difficult for you. (He wants that you) must complete the same number (of days), and that you must magnify Allaah for having guided you so that you may be grateful to Him"

Fasting a Universal Institution of the Religions of the Worlds

Fasting is a universal institution in as much as all the religions of the world. It is reported in Tafseer e Kabeer that fasting was compulsory on all the previous nations, from the nation of Hazrat Aadam [Alaiehis-Salaam] to the nation of Hazrat Ieesaa [Alaiehis-Salaam]
It has been practiced in different cultures around the world, from the Babylonians to the Incas, the Confucians, Jains, the Zoroaster Romans, the Babylonians, Assyrians followers of Hinduism, Confucius they have all practiced it. The philosophers, cynic, Stoic, Pythagorean or Neo-Platonic, left advice for fast. Great religious personalities throughout history have adopted fasting as the principal method of self-discipline.
Before the advent of Islaam, the institution of fasting was well established among the Christians and Jews living at that time.

Hazrat Nabi Moosaa [Alaiehis-Salaam] prepared himself to receive revelation from Almighty Allaah after forty days of fasting. The Jews observed an annual fast on the Day of Atonement in commemoration of the descent of Prophet [Moosaa [Alaiehis Salaam] from Mountain Sinai.
Fasting on the day of Ashooraah (10th Muharram) was compulsory for the nation of Hazrat Moosaa [Alaiehis-Salaam]
Hazrat Nabi Ieesaa [Alaiehis-Salaam] fasted for forty days in the desert and commanded his followers to fast.
Leaving the message that fasting and self control opens the door to a deeper, more intimate, more powerful relationship with God [Allaah Almighty].
