The Poet of the East, Allaamah Muhammad Iqbal said:[Asaar e Iqbal, Pages. 306-307]
Meelaad un Nabi [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] is among-st the sacred days for Muslims. According to my understanding it is very crucial for nourishment and treatment of human minds and hearts, Hence it is necessary for Muslims to keep in their sight the Aswa ur Rasool [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam]. In the following three ways they can keep their emotions intact.
1. The first way is of sending Durood and Salaam which is part and parcel of Muslim's life, they try to find every possible time to send Durood.
2. The second way deals with Gatherings i.e. Muslims should gather in great number and one person out of them [leader] who is fully versed regarding the Life and works of Pride to the worlds (i.e. Prophet [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] should mention them in detail so that the devotion to follow the way of Prophet awakens in hearts of Muslims, for this purpose we have also gathered today.
3. The third way is although difficult but still it to be mentioned is very important. It is that Prophet [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] is remembered in such a way that our hearts (and ways) become Mazhar (signs) of different aspects of Nabuwat the feeling which was there about 1300 years ago due to literal presence of Prophet [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] the same feeling arises in our hearts too. Eid Meelaad un Nabee- Proclaim the Blessing of your Rabb- Islam's First Eid -Allamah Kaukab Noorani Okarvi
Eid Meelaad un Nabee- Proclaim the Blessing of your Rabb- Islam's First Eid -Allamah Kaukab Noorani Okarvi
And remember and proclaim the blessings of your Rabb
Therefore, it is proved from the Qur'aan itself that the day when a blessing descends from heaven is a day of Eid. We are enjoined by the Qur'aan to rejoice at having received a blessing. The Qur'aan says:
"Qul Bi fadlil-Laahi Wa Bi Rahmatihi Fabi Zaalika Fal Yafrahu"
(Say O Prophet! you should rejoice at receiving A-Laah's grace and blessing)
Revered Shah Abdul Azeez Dehlvi (may ALLAAH have mercy on him) in his "Tafseer Azeezi" holds that to rejoice on receiving ALLAAH's grace and mercy is a very good and an altogether beneficial act.
In Aayat 69 of the Holy Qur'aan Soorah Aa'raaf, Allaah Almighty says:
"Fazkuroo Aalaa' Allaahi La' Allakum Tuflihoon.
(Remember Allaah's blessings so that you may profit)"
And in Aa'yat 74 it is said:
"Fazkuroo Aalaa' Allaahi Wala Ta'sau Fil Ardi Mufsideen
(So remember ALLAAH's blessings, and do not spread corruption in the earth)"
And in Soorah Ad-Duhaa:
"Wa Amma Bini'mati Rabbika Fahaddis"
(And remember and proclaim the blessings of your Rabb)"...excerpt
