What is Giyaarween Shareef ? Giyarwin Sharif

A gathering on any day, though generally on 11th of the lunar calendar, consisting of recitation of

the Holy Quraan, Zikr (Remembrance of Allaah Ta’aala), reading Faatihah and distributing food to send the reward to Huzoor Ghaus e A’zam Saiyyidinah Shaiekh Saiyyid Abdul Qaadir Jeelaani (May Allaah be well pleased with him) is called Giyaarween Shareef. Its basis in the religion is from the concept of sending reward to others. This is commonly known as Ieesaal-e-Sawaab, and it has been proven from the Quraan and Sunnah.

What is Ieesaal-e-Sawaab?

Ieesaal-e-Sawaab is act of performing a virtuous deed and sending the spiritual reward to another.

Allaah (Most Exalted) says:

“And those who came after them submit, O our Lord! Forgive us and our brothers who preceded

us in the faith” ( Quraan-Al-Hashr:10)

Who was Shaiekh Abdul Qaadir Jeelaani  [Rahmatul Laah Alaieh]?

Hazrat Shaiekh Abdul Qaadir Jīlānī al-Baḡdādī al-Ḥasanī al-Ḥusaynī (March 23, 1078 – February 21, 1166), was a Sunni Muslim preacher , ascetic , mystic , jurist , and theologian belonging to the Hanbali school , known for being the eponymous founder of the Qadiriyya Tariqa (Sufi order) of Sufism .The Qadiriyya Tareeqah is named after him. 

He was born on 1 Ramadan 470 AH (March 23, 1078) in the town in Gilan , Iran , and died on Monday, February 21, 1166 (11 Rabi' al-Thani 561 AH), in Baghdad .

Remembering the Honourable Mother of Allaamah Kaukab Noorani Okarvi

 As Salaamu Alaiekum Wa Rahmatul Laahi Wa Barakaatuhu,

On 1st Rabi ul Aakhir 1426, 10th May 2005, my beloved mother departed from this world.

This loss is a very tragic incident for us, which we can feel immensely every moment of our lives.

We hope and pray that by the Grace of Allaah Kareem she is happy with us.

My request to you, at your place (masjid, madrassah, institute) individually or in a gathering,

please recite Faatihah Shareef for her and forward rewards to her blessed soul.

I will be very thankful.
