Perseverance:

If you persevere in adversity and depend on Allaah Almighty, then know that He will remove your afflictions and bestow vast blessings upon you. For in His Book He promises,
"Those who depend upon Allaah, Allaah Kareem bestows His bounty upon them and provides for them from means unknown." Therefore follow the road of patience and rejoice in His infinite bounty.

What is Giyaarween Shareef ?

A gathering on any day, though generally on 11th of the lunar calendar, consisting of recitation of
the Holy Quraan, Zikr (Remembrance of Allaah Ta’aala), reading Faatihah and distributing food to send the reward to Huzoor Ghaus e A’zam Saiyyidinah Shaiekh Saiyyid Abdul Qaadir Jeelaani (May Allaah be well pleased with him) is called Giyaarween Shareef. Its basis in the religion is from the concept of sending reward to others. This is commonly known as Ieesaal-e-Sawaab, and it has been proven from the Quraan and Sunnah.

What is Ieesaal-e-Sawaab?
Ieesaal-e-Sawaab is act of performing a virtuous deed and sending the spiritual reward to another.
Allaah (Most Exalted) says:
“And those who came after them submit, O our Lord! Forgive us and our brothers who preceded
us in the faith” ( Quraan-Al-Hashr:10)
This proves that the prayer of Muslims for the forgiveness of other Muslims is from Quraanic teachings and Ieesaal-e-Sawaab is actually a form of supplication (Dua).
In a Hadees related from both Imaam Bukhaari and Imaam Muslim, the Mother of the Believers
Hazrat Ayeshaa Siddiqaa (May Allaah be well pleased with her) narrated that a person asked a question about sending reward (Ieesaal-e-Sawaab) to his mother at which the Holy Prophet (Peace
be upon him) replied that the reward of your charity (Sadaqa and khaieraat) would, in fact, reach her. According to another Hadees in the Musnad of Imaam Ahmed, Hazrat Anas (May Allaah be
well pleased with them) inquired that “For our deceased, we make dua, give charity and perform Pilgrimage; does it reach them?” The Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) replied, “Yes, certainly
it reaches them and they are pleased with it just like you are pleased with each others gifts.”

Life Events -Of Hazrat Ghaus e A'zam Shaiekh Saiyyid

Abdul Qaadir Jeelaani

[Rahmatul Laah Alaieh]

Childhood...

At a young age, the age of 10, he memorized the Holy Qur'aan.  After memorizing the Qur’aan he began studying books of religion. He states that, “when I used to proceed to study at my school, Angels used to accompany me on my left and right side. On reaching the schoolhouse they used to announce to my fellow pupils, ‘make place for The Friend [Walee] Of Allaah Kareem.’ Later I realized that they were Angels.

When I intended playing with the other children, as is the nature of children, then I could hear a voice from the unseen saying, ‘O Blessed One! Come towards Me [Illayaa Yaa Mubaarak], don’t attach you heart to play and folly. Don’t incline yourself to play with these children, Come towards Me.’

At the age of 12 or 13, his father passed on to the Realm Of Divine Beauty. He had been orphaned and he lived with his mother.

Hazrat Shaiekh Abdul Qaadir Jeelaani [Radiyal Laahu 'Anhu],  was born in the year 470 A.H. / 1077-8 C.E., in the blessed month of Ramadaan, about 924 years ago from today. In Iraq there is a district that non-Arabs call Gilaan whilst Arabs call it Jilaan, since there is no gaaf in Arabic. They substitute gaaf with jeem. After his birth mother, noticed that he did not drink milk in the daytime, but only after sunset. After noticing this for 7 to 8 days, she told her husband Hazrat Abu Sualeh [Rahmatul Laahi Alaieh]about this occurrence. She said, this son that Allaah [Kareem] blessed us with observes fast (siyaam), he does not drink milk in the day, although I tried to feed him on numerous occasions, he only feeds at night.’ Hazrat Abu Sualeh [Rahmatul Laahi Alaieh]said, ‘It is no marvel if he is fasting for he is the Leader of the Friends of Allaah [Ta'aalaa]  (Auliyaa) and of all Spiritual Poles (aqtaab).’ she enquired from her husband, ‘Sir! How do you know that he is the leader of Friends of Allaah [Kareem] (auiya) and of all Spiritual Poles (aqtaab)?’

 He replied,

"Before this child was born, I was blessed with a dream of the Holy Prophet [Sallal Laahu Alaiehi Wa Sallam] who informed me..."

[They] pass the night [in adoration] for their Lord- Who are they? Speech Excerpt

Hazrat Maulana Shafee Okarvi
[Rahmatul Laahi Alaieh]
excerpt- Speech Translation
abdul qaadir,
Allaah Kareem says in the Holy Qur'aan, in the 25th Soorah, al-Furqaan: Verse 64

Those who pass the night [in adoration] for their Lord in prostration and standing

Allaah Kareem Averts Punishment Of The Disobedient Because Of Auliyaa Allaah
After praising Allaah Kareem (Hamd) and blessing His beloved Holy Prophet [Sallal Laahu Alaiehi Wassalam]I recited a verse of the Holy Qur’aan. In this verse Allaah Kareem has mentioned an attribute of His beloved servants. He says that His accepted and beloved servants, their prominence is this that they spend nights in prostration [sajda] before their Creator. He states:

[They] pass the night [in adoration] for their Lord

How do they spend it? in prostration and standing [qiyaam]

The rest of the world is asleep and dreaming but the servants of the Merciful Allaah Kareem, His accepted servants, spend their nights, for Allaah Kareem, soaked in His love, praying salaah, standing [qiyaam], bowing [ruku] and prostrating [sajdaa].
The reality is this that because of these worshipful and pondering or reflecting [fikr] servants this world retains stability and we are saved from the punishment of Allaah Almighty. There is a Sacred Tradition Hadees e Qudsi in which Allaah Taa’alaa says:
When My servants commit evil deeds, sin and are disobedient then My punishment comes into action, but when I see My thankful worshipful servants, those that perform night vigils [tahajjud], wake up at night and cry, put their heads in prostration before Me, and plead deliverance from sins and forgiveness: Then I look at them and I recall My punishment even from the disobedient. ….
