Contribution to the field of Poetry - Alaa Hazrat Imaam Ahmad Razaa Khaan Barelvi
[Rahmatul Laahi Alaieh]
He spent much of his valuable time writing Poetry. His Poetry mostly consisted of Naat Sharif in praise of the Holy Prophet Muhammad [Sallal Laahu Alaiehi Wa Sallam] and Manqabats, which were Divinely Inspired. His Durood-o-Salaam is recited all over the world after Jum’uah prayers and at the ends of religious events in mosques and homes. His most famous revolutionary book of Na’ats is called “Hadaa’iq-e-Bakshish” حدائق بخشش containing some of the finest praises of Allaah Kareem and of His chosen people.
In all the Naat Shareef written by Alaa Hazrat [Rahmatul Laah Alaieh] it is evident that his heart and soul was drowned in the love of the Holy Prophet Muhammad [Sallal Laahu Alaiehi Wa Sallam].
Each verse and stanza of his Poetry is the Tafseer (commentary) of the Holy Qur’aan and the Hadees of Rasoolul Laah [Sallal Laahu Alaiehi Wa Sallam].His Poetry was mainly in the Arabic, Urdu, and Persian languages.
This famous and most beautiful Naat Kitaab is used throughout the world. Alaa Hazrat’s humble compilations are read by all who wish to express their love for Rasoolul Laah [Sallal Laahu Alaiehi Wa Sallam].
