Those who spend their wealth in charity during the night and the day the Holy Quraan Verse & Hazrat Ali/ Alee

Hazrat Saiyyidinaa Alee [Karramal Laahu Wajhu]
Birthday [Yaum e Wilaadat Mubaarak] of Ameer ul Mumineen Hazrat Saiyyidinaa Alee [Karramal Laahu Wajhu]
This verse of the Holy Quraan was also revealed in praise of Hazrat Alee
[Karramal Laahu Wajhu]
“Those who spend their wealth in charity during the night and the day, (both) discreetly and openly. For them, they have a generous reward by their Lord. They have no fear nor do they have any grief.”
Hazrat ibn Abaas [Radiyal Laahu Anhu] states that Hazrat
Ali/Alee [Radiyal Laahu Anhu] had only four dirhams with him. He distributed
one dirham as charity at night and one dirham in the day. He then gave one
dirham discreetly and one dirham openly. It was on this, that the above
mentioned verse of the Quraan was revealed.
Hazrat Ali / Alee Murtazaa (Allaah be pleased with him)-"He whose spiritual guide I am, Ali is also his spiritual guide.
Supporter of the Universe (Maulaa-e-Kaainaat) and the Chief of the Friends of Allaah (سيد الأولياء Saiyyidul -Auliyaa) ‘Alee Murtazaa (Allaah be pleased with him)
"He whose spiritual guide I am, Alee [Ali] is also his spiritual guide. Oh Allaah, You keep him as your friend who keeps Alee as his friend, and You treat him as your enemy who holds enmity against Alee."

The Search for a Spiritual Guide... Khawaajah Mu'een ud deen Chishti Ajmeri Sarkaar Gareeb Nawaaz [Rahmatul Laah Alaieh]
THE SEARCH FOR A
SPIRITUAL GUIDE…
Translated Lecture of
Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Shafee Okarvi- [Rahmatul Laah Alaieh]-South Africa.
Hazrat Saiyyidinaa
Khawaajah Saiyyid Mu'een ud deen Hasan
Chishti Ajmeri Sarkaar
Gareeb Nawaaz [Rahmatul Laah Alaieh]-
Hazrat Khawaajah Saahib
had acquired the external knowledge and now set out to acquire a Spiritual
Guide. Near Neshapur was a village called Harwaan or Haroon. In this village
resided a renowned Walee who was the Cardinal Pole (Qutb) of the time, Hazrat Khawaajah
Usmaan Harooni [Rahmatul Laah Alaieh]-
On the very first meeting
with Hazrat Khawaajah Usman Harooni having never met or seen each other before,
Khawaajah Usmaan stated, ‘Mu’een ud deen! I have been waiting for you. Come to
me!’
He became a disciple (mureed)
and was then consigned to a Hujraa to ‘worship Allaah Kareem’ (Ibaadat)
and ‘strive on the path’ (Riyaazaat). Remember nothing is attained
without, sincere worship, striving and a concentrated effort. Allaah Kareem (Almighty
and Glorious is He) says in the Holy Qur'aan in the 29th Soorah,
al-Ankabuut, Verse 69:
And those who strive in
Our way (to know Us and Our Attributes), We will certainly guide them to Our Paths.
One must strive on this
path. The Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him, his family and his companions), despite
being the beloved of Allaah Kareem and the Cause of Creation still worshipped
and strove. He stood so still at night for such long durations that the blood
capillaries on his blessed foot used to swell.
Allaah Kareem (Almighty and Glorious is He) had to tell him in the Holy Qur'aan, in the 73rd Soorah, al-Muzzammil, Verses 1to 3:

3rd Rajab -Spiritual Greatness of Hazrat Uwaies Qarani [Radiyal Laah Anhu].
Many times, in the company of his followers, the Holy Prophet [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] stated, "I can smell the beauty of my friend from the land of Yemen." This statement is in direct reference to the spiritual greatness of Hazrat Uwaies Qarani [Radiyal Laah Anhu].
Hazrat Umar [Radiyal Laahu Anhu] quotes Rasoolul Laah [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] as saying, "Oh, Umar! From
Yemen a man will arrive whose name is Uwaies. He cares for his old and frail
mother. If for anything, he takes an oath in the name of Allaah [Ta’aalaa],
Allaah Kareem] will fulfill his oath. If you can ask from him prayers for your
own forgiveness, then you must do so."

The Exalted Status of Hazrat Uwaies Qarani [Radiyal Laah Anhu]
The Exalted Status of Hazrat Uwaies Qarani
[Radiyal Laah Anhu]

Hazrat Uwaies Qarani [Radiyal Laah Anhu]
was born in Asir region of Saudi Arabia, 594CE. His father, Aamir, was a
God-fearing person. He gave Islaamic education to his son but died leaving
Hazrat Owais an orphan at a young age. The family was poor and could not afford
higher education for him. He devoted him to praying, fasting and service to his
mother. Hazrat Uwaies Qarani [Radiyal Laah Anhu] had profound love for Islaam
and its Beloved Messenger.
Hazrat Uwaies Qarani [Radiyal Laah Anhu]
learned that there is a great reward in Islaam for serving parents. His mother
was sick and blind. So, he devoted himself solely to the service of his mother.
During Prophet (peace be upon him)’s
last days, he asked Hazrat Umar and Hazrat Alee to pass his Jubba (the blessed
cloak) to Hazrat Qaarni and ask him to
pray for the forgiveness of the Muslim Ummah. This demonstrates the exalted
status of Hazrat Uwaies Qarani
[Radiyal Laah Anhu]
Love for Prophet & OwaisQarni-3rd Rajab : Hazrat Uwaies Qarani [Radiyal Laah Anhu]
![]() |
Hazrat Uwaies Qarani [Radiyal Laah
Anhu] is a story that sets an example for all the Muslims as how even without
meeting the Prophet Muhammad (Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam), one may still
earn Allaah Kareem’s favor and His pleasure, on account of his unflinching love
for the Prophet Muhammad (Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam). Hazrat Uwaies Qarani [Radiyal Laah
Anhu] could never meet the Holy Prophet [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] in
person, but he is arguably the only person in Islaamic history who is said to
have been accorded the status of Honourable Sahaabi (companion) by none other
than Prophet Muhammad [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] himself. |
