Martyrdom is a great reward from Allaah [Subhaanuhu Wa Ta'aalaa], for which great personalities entertain a desire to attain. Hazrat Saiyyidinaa Imaam Hasan and Hazrat Saiyyidinaa Imaam Husaien [Radiyal laahu Anhumaa]received this perfect martyrdom from the court of the Holy Prophet [Sallal Laahu ‘Alaiehi Wa Sallam]. The personalities of Hazrat Imaam Hasan and Hazrat Imaam Husaien are the ‘Location of the manifestation of the perfection of the Chosen One’ [Mazhar e Kamaal e Mustafaa]. Also just as the personalities of Hazrat Imaam Hasan and Hazrat Imaam Husaien [Radiyal laahu Anhumaa] are the ‘Location of the manifestation of the perfection of the Chosen One’ [Mazhar e Kamaal e Mustafaa] it is also the ‘Location of the Beauty of the Chosen One’ [Mazhar e Jamaal e Mustafaa].

The Excellence s of Hazrat Saiyyidinaa Imaam Husaien
[Radiyal laahu-’Anhu]
  He was Born on 3rd-Sha’baan

 Our Beloved Prophet [Sallal Laahu ‘Alaiehi Wa Sallam] gave the Azaan in his right ear and the Iqaamah in his left ear he then and made Dua for him.

On the 7th day he was named Husaien and his Aqeeqah was performed. Rasoolul laah [Sallal Laahu ‘Alaiehi Wa Sallam],commanded Bibi Hazrat Faatimah Tuz Zahraa...[Radiyal Laahu 'Anha],to remove his hair and to give silver in charity equivalent to the weight of the hair.

Imaam Husaien [Radiyal laahu’Anhu] was without doubt a very handsome personality. From his chest down to his blessed feet he was the image of Rasoolul laah[Sallal Laahu ‘Alaiehi Wa Sallam],whereas his elder brother Hazrat Imaam Hasan [Radiyal laahu-’Anhu] was the image of Rasoolul laah ,from his chest up to his blessed head.

 Hazrat Imaam Husaien [Radiyal laahu-’Anhu] was taught by Rasoolul laah and Hazrat Bibi Faatima [Radiyal laahu-’Anha] and Hazrat Alee[Radiyal laahu-’Anhu] Holy Prophet [Sallal Laahu ‘Alaiehi Wa Sallam],loved Hazrat Imaam Husaien due to his piety and pure heart. In every way he was superior and exalted in wisdom, action, piety, devotion and lineage. He knew the Laws of Islaam and the Tradition of the Prophet (Sunnat) very well.
Hazrat Imaam Husaien [Radiyal laahu-’Anhu] was a very kind, gentle, generous, merciful and Allaah-fearing personality. He always cared for the poor and oppressed, assisted the helpless, gave comfort to those in pain and sorrow and showed great love and affection towards orphans. He was the embodiment of the character of his grandfather Saiyyidinaa  Rasoolullaah [Sallal Laahu ‘Alaiehi Wa Sallam],and of his blessed parents.
His tolerance and patience was also exemplary. This was manifested by the fact that his martyrdom had been foretold by the Beloved Rasool [Sallal Laahu ‘Alaiehi Wa Sallam],and even though he was aware of this, he still made Sabr and waited for the Will of Allaah [Subhaanuhu Wa Ta'aalaa].to take its course. Hazrat Imaam Husaien [Radiyal laahu-’Anhu] was also blessed with bravery of the highest degree and this bravery and fearlessness was manifested on many occasions, particularly during the Battle of Karbalaa.
Rasoolul laah [Sallal Laahu ‘Alaiehi Wa Sallam] have said,
 “Husaien is from me and I am from Husaien. Whosoever has kept Husaien as his beloved, Allaah is his beloved.”
This means that Rasoolul Laah [Sallal Laahu Alaiehi Wa Sallam]and Imaam Husaien [Radiyal Laahu Anhu]are extremely close to each other as if they are one. The remembrance of Imaam Husaien is the remembrance of Rasoolul Laah [Sallal Laahu Alaiehi Wa Sallam], the friendship of Imaam Husaien is the friendship of Rasoolul Laah] and the enmity of Imaam Husaien is the animosity of Rasoolul Laah [Sallal Laahu Alaiehi Wa Sallam].

Shaheed are Not Dead-Hazrat Allamah Kaukab Noorani Okarvi

Hazrat Imaam Hasan [Radiyal Laahu ‘Anhu] received the greatness of ‘The Secret Martyrdom’ [Shahaadat e Sirri] and Hazrat Imaam Husaien [Radiyal Laahu ‘Anhu] received the greatness of ‘The Open Martyrdom’ [Shahaadat e Jahri]. This in reality was the greatness and emanation [Al-faayz] of the Holy Prophet [Sallal Laahu ‘Alaiehi Wa Sallam].
Yazeed in Temporal Power but Husaien in Spiritual control…
Allaah [Almighty and Glorious is He] says in the 2nd Soorah, al-Baqarah,
Holy Qur'aan:
And say not of those who are slain in the way of Allaah:
"They are dead." Nay, they are living, though you do not perceive [their life].

The Famous Tradition of the Cloak

In the Hadees an important event symbolizes the spiritual dimension of their relation to the Holy Prophet Muhammad [Sallal Laahu Alaiehi Wa Sallam] This is the Hadees of the Cloak, in which the Holy Prophet spread his blessed cloak (Kambli Mubaarak) over himself the Holy Prophet Muhammad (May Allaah Kareem's choicest blessings & peace be upon him), Saiyyidah Faatimah Zahraa , Hazrat 'Alee, Hazrat Imaam Hasan and Hazrat Imaam Husaien

عن صفية بنت شيبة، قالت: قالت عائشة رضي الله عنها: خرج النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم غداة وعليه مرط مرحل من شعر أسود. فجاء الحسن بن علي فأدخله، ثم جاء الحسين  فدخل معه ثم جاءت فاطمة رضي الله عنها فأدخلها، ثم جاء علي فأدخله، ثم قال: (إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنكُمُ الرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرًا)
