THE NIGHT OF DELIVERANCE (Shab-e-Baraa'at)

Um mul Mu’mineen Hazrat Aa‘ishah Siddeeqah
[Radiyal Allaahu Ta’aalaa ‘Anhaa]
has narrated that…
The Prophetصلى الله عليه وسلم  stood up in prayer during part of the night and made his prostration so lengthy that I thought his soul had been taken back. When I saw this I got up and went to move his big toe, whereupon he moved, so I drew back. When he raised his head from prostration and finished praying, he
صلى الله عليه وسلم  said: “O A’ishaa! Did you think that the Prophet had broken his agreement with you?” She replied: “No, by Allaah, O Messenger of Allaah, but I thought that your soul had been taken back because you stayed in prostration for so long.” He said: “Do you know what night this is?” She said: “Allaah and His Prophet know best.”
He said:
“This is the night of Mid-Sha`baan! Verily Allaah the Glorious and Majestic look at His servants on “the night of mid-Sha`ban, and He forgives those who ask forgiveness, and He bestows mercy on those who ask mercy, and He gives a delay to the people of envy and spite in their state.”....excerpt from Speech Allamah Kaukab Noorani Okarvi

THE NIGHT OF DELIVERANCE (Shab-e-Baraa'at)

One should end discords and mend relations before sunset of 14th Sha’baan. Fulfil the rights of others; else get waiver so at the book of deeds is presented in His court devoid of rights of others. Regarding the rights of Allaah Kareem , mere sincere repentance is sufficient. It is mentioned in a Hadees:
التائب من الذنب كمن لا ذنب له
Whoever repents of his sin, is as if he has not committed the sin at all.

THE NIGHT OF DELIVERANCE (Shab-e-Baraa'at)

The fifteenth night of the month of Sha’baan, commencing with sunset, is a highly auspicious night. It is known as Shab-e-Baraa’at – tha Night of Deliverance from sins.

Authentic Traditions reveal that the account of a person’s activities of the last year is closed this evening and simultaneously fresh account is opened for the New Year. In this night Allaah Kareem passes of His Knowledge of every individual’s activities in the year ahead to the angels concerned.

It is revealed to us in Traditions that in this night Allaah [Ta’aalaa] proclaims: Is there any seeker of deliverance from sins? Then I forgive him his sins. Is there any seeker of happiness? Then I make him happy. Is there any seeker of provisions? Then I provide him with provisions. Is there any seeker? Is there any seeker?

The giver is bent upon giving In this night. Where is the taker? If the taker is sleeping, he is the loser.

Therefore,  Almighty Allaah’s Beloved Prophet (Blessing of Allaah Kareem and Peace be on him), the Mercy for the universe, has advised is to keep awake the whole night and occupy ourselves in the recitation of the Holy Qur’aan, voluntary namaaz (Nafl), visiting the graveyard and putting forth supplications before the Almighty Allaah for the fulfillment of our material as well as spiritual desires.

Shab-e-Baraat The night of Deliverance of Salvation

It is set out in Traditions that three hundred gates of Allah’s Mercy are opened this night and all supplicants are granted their prayers except the polytheist, the sorcerer, the astrologer, the miser, the drinker of wine, malicious, the usurer and the adulterer. Therefore let everyone repent sincerely for his past misdeeds and wrong beliefs, make a vow to Allah that he shall never indulge in these and other vices and then stick to his vow in order fo derive the utmost benefit of the Divine Gifts showered in this night.

Parents in Islam Jihad

The Holy Prophet Muhammad [Peace be upon Him] has observed: “Let that man be disgraced, and disgraced again and let him be disgraced even more.” The Sahaabah’s inquired: “O Prophet of Rasoolul Laah [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam]!! Who is that man?” The Prophet said:
“I refer to the man who finds his parents old in age – both of them or one of them – and yet did not earn entitlement to Paradise by rendering good service to them.”
[Muslim Shareef]

Hazrat ‘Abdul laah ibn ‘Amr [Radiyal Laahu Anhu] relates that a person came to the presence of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah Kareem he upon him) with the intention of participating in the Jihaad. The Holy Prophet enquired from him : “Are your father and mother alive?” He said “Yes, they are alive”. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Go and render good service to them. This is the Jihaad”.
[Saheeeh al-Bukhaari, Muslim]

Love your Parents Hadees Shareef

Love your parents
Love your parents and consider this act as a privilege and a source of reward in the eternal world. Hazrat Ibn ‘Abbas [Radiyal Laahu Anhu] relates that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) have said :

“The pious offspring who casts a single look of affection at his parents receives a reward from God [Allaah Kareem] equal to the reward of an accepted Hajj.” The people submitted: “O Rasoolul Laah  : If someone casts a hundred such glances of love and affection at his parents, what then?”

The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah  Kareem be upon him) observed;
“Yes, indeed, even if one does so a hundred times a day, he will get a hundred fold reward. Allaah Kareem Mercy is far greater than you imagine...[Muslim Shareef]
[Muslim]

Parents in Islam

Offer prayers begging grace for your parents
Offer prayers begging grace for your parents, Bring to mind their fervent appeals to the Lord [Allaah Kareem] and beg His mercy for them with a zealous and sincere heart. God ordains:

“And say: My Lord! Have mercy on them both
as they did care for me when I was little.”
In other words, say: “O Creator, with mercy, devotion, affection and love, my Lord, they reared me in childhood and sacrificed their own pleasure and ease for my sake but, they, in their infirmity and helplessness of old age, are more deserving of kindness, and love than I ever was. Allaah Kareem! I can pay them no recompense. Do patronize them and show them mercy in their miserable state”.

Mothers in Islam

Preserving the affection and respect of Parents is much emphasize in Islaam, and repaying this compassion with kindness is an obligation that is directly partnered with Tauheed:
{“…and your Lord ordained that you worship only Him, and that you treat your parents with excellence…”} [Al-Israa’; 23]
And disobedience to them is directly partnered with kufr.
