[They] pass the night [in adoration] for their Lord- Who are they? Speech Excerpt

Hazrat Maulana Shafee Okarvi
[Rahmatul Laahi Alaieh]
excerpt- Speech Translation
abdul qaadir,
Allaah Kareem says in the Holy Qur'aan, in the 25th Soorah, al-Furqaan: Verse 64

Those who pass the night [in adoration] for their Lord in prostration and standing

Allaah Kareem Averts Punishment Of The Disobedient Because Of Auliyaa Allaah
After praising Allaah Kareem (Hamd) and blessing His beloved Holy Prophet [Sallal Laahu Alaiehi Wassalam]I recited a verse of the Holy Qur’aan. In this verse Allaah Kareem has mentioned an attribute of His beloved servants. He says that His accepted and beloved servants, their prominence is this that they spend nights in prostration [sajda] before their Creator. He states:

[They] pass the night [in adoration] for their Lord

How do they spend it? in prostration and standing [qiyaam]

The rest of the world is asleep and dreaming but the servants of the Merciful Allaah Kareem, His accepted servants, spend their nights, for Allaah Kareem, soaked in His love, praying salaah, standing [qiyaam], bowing [ruku] and prostrating [sajdaa].
The reality is this that because of these worshipful and pondering or reflecting [fikr] servants this world retains stability and we are saved from the punishment of Allaah Almighty. There is a Sacred Tradition Hadees e Qudsi in which Allaah Taa’alaa says:
When My servants commit evil deeds, sin and are disobedient then My punishment comes into action, but when I see My thankful worshipful servants, those that perform night vigils [tahajjud], wake up at night and cry, put their heads in prostration before Me, and plead deliverance from sins and forgiveness: Then I look at them and I recall My punishment even from the disobedient. ….

The Poet of the East, Allaamah Muhammad Iqbal said:[Asaar e Iqbal, Pages. 306-307]

Meelaad un Nabi [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] is among-st the sacred days for Muslims. According to my understanding it is very crucial for nourishment and treatment of human minds and hearts, Hence it is necessary for Muslims to keep in their sight the Aswa ur Rasool [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam]. In the following three ways they can keep their emotions intact.

1. The first way is of sending Durood and Salaam which is part and parcel of Muslim's life, they try to find every possible time to send Durood.
2. The second way deals with Gatherings i.e. Muslims should gather in great number and one person out of them [leader] who is fully versed regarding the Life and works of Pride to the worlds (i.e. Prophet [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] should mention them in detail so that the devotion to follow the way of Prophet  awakens in hearts of Muslims, for this purpose we have also gathered today.
3. The third way is although difficult but still it to be mentioned is very important. It is that Prophet [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] is remembered in such a way that our hearts (and ways) become Mazhar (signs) of different aspects of Nabuwat the feeling which was there about 1300 years ago due to literal presence of Prophet [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] the same feeling arises in our hearts too. Eid Meelaad un Nabee- Proclaim the Blessing of your Rabb- Islam's First Eid -Allamah Kaukab Noorani Okarvi

eid meelaad un nabee procaim blessing islam allama kokab noorani okarvi
And remember and proclaim the blessings of your Rabb
Therefore, it is proved from the Qur'aan itself that the day when a blessing descends from heaven is a day of Eid. We are enjoined by the Qur'aan to rejoice at having received a blessing. The Qur'aan says:
"Qul Bi fadlil-Laahi Wa Bi Rahmatihi Fabi Zaalika Fal Yafrahu"
(Say O Prophet! you should rejoice at receiving A-Laah's grace and blessing)
Revered Shah Abdul Azeez Dehlvi (may ALLAAH have mercy on him) in his "Tafseer Azeezi" holds that to rejoice on receiving ALLAAH's grace and mercy is a very good and an altogether beneficial act.
In Aayat 69 of the Holy Qur'aan Soorah Aa'raaf, Allaah Almighty says:
"Fazkuroo Aalaa' Allaahi La' Allakum Tuflihoon.
(Remember Allaah's blessings so that you may profit)"
And in Aa'yat 74 it is said:
"Fazkuroo Aalaa' Allaahi Wala Ta'sau Fil Ardi Mufsideen
(So remember ALLAAH's blessings, and do not spread corruption in the earth)"
And in Soorah Ad-Duhaa:
"Wa Amma Bini'mati Rabbika Fahaddis"
(And remember and proclaim the blessings of your Rabb)"...excerpt

SURAH/SOORAH MARIAM -QURAAN-SALAAM ON THE DAY HE WAS BORN

#Quran
In Soorah Maryam (part 16) the Holy Qur'aan speaks about Hazrat 'Ieesaa and Hazrat Yahya (Alaiehimus Salaam) thus:
"And (Salaam) salutations be on the day they were born, and the day they departed salutations this world, and the day when they will be raised up".
I would ask the propagandists at the "Honey Dew", if ALLAAH's salutation be on days when
Hazrat 'Ieesaa and Hazrat Yahya (Alaiehimus Salaam)
were born and departed and will be raised up, should they not be then counted among the
"Days of ALLAAH". All men of Faith believe these days to be the "Days of ALLAAH".
Woe be to the thinking that refuses to acknowledge the importance of the day of the birth of ALLAAH's Prophets. Even of the greatest of all Prophets, Hazrat Muhammad (Sallal Laahu Alaiehi wa Sallam), as the "Days of ALLAAH", and would not believe in expressing joy and giving thanks in remembrance of ALLAAH's greatest grace and mercy! And this after having seen that Allaah, as the Qur'aan says, sends His salutations on the day when Hazrat 'Ieesaa and Hazrat Yahya (Alaiehimus Salaam) were born. May ALLAAH Ta’alaa protects us from such deviations and such deviationist! Aameen.
Excerpt- ISLAAM'S FIRST EID- Hazrat Allaamah Kaukab Noorani Okarvi

Commentary....
This proves that the birthdays of Prophets (peace be upon them) are declared Blessed days by Allaah Kareem and Prophets themselves. It is for this reason that Prophets’ birthdays are very important and significant days.(Alaiehimus Salaam)

Every nation remembers birth or death of their guide/leader and arranges public meetings / gatherings so that successive generations of their people become aware of their leader and benefit from his life, personal traits and achievements. Such occasions help people in many ways, particularly in doing good deeds and remain united.
People also celebrate and remember important events of their history and show happiness and pride for their past achievements. The annual pilgrimage of Hajj is also a remembrance and celebration for all Muslims of the world who gather at Makkah al-Mukarramah, Mina, Arafaat and Madinah al-Munawwaraa and show their solidarity towards Islaam.
Quraan and Ahadees are full of the remembrance of the births of Prophets like  Hazrat Aadam ( علیھ السلا م ),  Hazrat Moosa ( علیھ السلا م ), Hazrat Ieesaa ( علیھ السلا م ),  Hazrat Yahyaa ( علیھ السلا م ), etc.
Similarly, we have been commanded by Qur'aan and Ahadees to celebrate Meelaad Un Nabi (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم).
It is in Qur'aan –
اذْكُرُوا نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ جَعَلَ فِيكُمْ أَنبِيَاءَ
(Meaning – Remember and express with gratitude the gracefulness of Allaah (سبحانہ و تعا لی) that He sent Prophets among you (Al-Maa’ida – 20).
In the above Quraanic verses Allaah (سبحانہ و تعا لی) has commanded people to celebrate the births of Prophets who were sent for the guidance of their nations. Therefore, the celebration of the Birth of Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم), as a show of gratitude and happiness towards Allaah (سبحانہ و تعا لی) is mandatory by the whole world as he was sent as mercy for all the worlds in this Cosmos.
It is in Quraan –
وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلَّا رَحْمَةً لِّلْعَالَمِينَ
[ Meaning – We have not sent you (O’Prophet – صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) except for the mercy on all the worlds] (Al-Ambiyaa-107).
