نبی اکرمﷺ نے فرمایا: ہ

جس نے روزہ دار کو روزہ افطار کرایا اسے بھی اتنا اجر ملے گا جتنا روزہ دار کے لئے ہوگا اور روزہ دار کے اجر میں کچھ بھی کمی نہ ہوگی۔(سنن الترمذی:807)

جو شخص رمضان المبارک میں ایک نفلی نیکی کرتا ہے۔ اللہ تبارک وتعالیٰ اسے ایک فرض کے برابر اجرو ثواب عطا فرماتا ہے۔ اور جو شخص رمضان المبارک میں ایک فرض ادا کرتا ہے۔ اللہ رب العزت اسے ستر(70) فرضوں کے برابر اجر وثواب عطا فرماتا ہے۔

رمضان کا چاند

حضور اکرمﷺ رمضان کریم کا چاند دیکھ کر خصوصٰ دعا فرمایا کرتے تھے۔

"جب حضور اکرم ﷺ رمضان المبارک کا چاند دیکھتے تو فرماتے یہ چاند خیروبرکت کا ہے میں اس ذات پر ایمان رکھتا ہوں جس نے تجھے پیدا فرمایا۔"

حدیث نبویﷺ

حضرت ابو ہریرہؓ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہﷺ نے فرمایا:

روزہ میرے لئے ہے اور میں ہی اس کا بدلہ دوں گا اور اس میں (دوسری) نیکیوں (کا ثواب) اصل نیکی کے دس گنا ہوتا ہے۔

اللہ کریم جل شانہ کا کلام قرآن کریم ماہ رمضان المبارک میں نازل ہوا۔ جس مبارک رات میں نازل ہوا، اسے لیلۃ القدر فرمایا گیا۔ یہ بیان جس سورۃ القرآن میں ہے اس کانام بھی سورۃ القدر ہے۔ کیا ہی خوب اعجاز قرآن ہے کہ اس سورۃ القدر کے حروف 114 ہیں اور یہی قرآنی سورتوں کی تعداد ہے۔اس سورۃ القدر کے کلمات (الفاظ) 30 ہیں اور یہی قرآن کے پاروں کی تعداد ہے۔

Fiqh of fasting : The Intention of fast

INTENTION OF FAST

Q.1: What is meant by intention of fast?

A. "Neeyat" means to have firm intention of offering prayer in the heart. Expression of words by the tongue is not essential but desirable to harmonize the intention of the tongue with the heart. So is the case with the intention (Neeyat) of fasts.

Q.2: What is the wording of Neeyat?

A. If one makes "Neeyat" (intention) of fast during the night he should say:

I intended for the sake of Allaah that I will observe obligatory fast of this Ramadaan tomorrow

Adding "Inshaa Allaah Ta'aalaa" to the wording of Neeyat is desirable act provided that it is done with the intention of seeking Almighty Allaah's help and grace. Neeyat must be firm. If wavering, fast will not be deemed to have been observed.

Q.3: What time should Neeyat be made?

A. The time for Neeyat of obligatory fasts of Ramadaan, "Nazar Mo'aie-yan" and "Nafil" fasts begins at the sunset and lasts till the sun reaches meridian Shar'ee i.e. one should form Neeyat (intention) of fast at least 39 minutes and at most 48 minutes before "Zawaal" (decline of the sun). The intention of these three kinds of fasts can also be made in the day but it is commendable to do so during the night.

Our Beloved Prophet Muhammad [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] have said..

There are eight gates of Paradise and one of those is called "Raiyaan". The believers who observe fasts will enter into paradise from this gate.

THE QURAAN ON FASTING

The first step for a Muslim to realize is the fact that fasting the month of Ramadaan is obligatory and that Allaah Almighty has prescribed it for us in His Mubaraak Holy Book:

Allaah [Subhanhu Wa Ta'alaa] has told us about Fasting in Ramadaan on several places in the Qur’aan Al Hakeem.

"Fasting for a fixed number of days is prescribed for you, but if any of you is ill or on a journey, the same number (should be made up) from other days. And as for those who can fast with difficulty, (an old man, etc.), they have (a choice either to fast or) to feed a poor person (for every day). But whoever does good of his own accord, it is better for him. And that you fast, it is better for you if only you know."

Allaah intends for you ease, and He does not want to make things difficult for you. (He wants that you) must complete the same number (of days), and that you must magnify Allaah for having guided you so that you may be grateful to Him"
