HOW SHOULD A MUSLIM OBSERVE EID-UL-FITR

Eid-ul-Fitr refers to the festival after completion of fasting in the Month of Ramadaan. This auspicious occasion is celebrated on the 1st of Shawwaal ul Mukarram which is the 10th month of the Islaamic calendar. The festival of Eid-ul-Fitr is a manner of showing appreciation and gratitude to Almighty Allaah for all that He has bestowed upon us.

On the morning of Eid-ul-Fitr, Muslims throughout the world perform the traditional Eid Salaah, which is Waajib upon all Muslims. It is not permissible to miss the Eid prayer without any valid reason. With the exception of performing the Eid Prayer, there are also various actions which are desirable on the day of Eid

.
These are:
to trim the hair and nails
to perform the Ghusl (Ceremonial Bath),
to use the Miswaak (special toothbrush),
to wear (if affordable) or good clean clothing, and to use Ittar (Perfume),
to perform the Fajr Salaah (morning prayer) in the nearest Mosque of your area,
to leave early to perform the Eid Salaah,
to give the Sadaqa-e-Fitr (Eid-ul-Fitr Charity) before the Eid Salaah,
to go by foot (if possible) for the Eid Salaah, and return home in another route,
to eat a few dates (preferably an odd number) or something sweet before going for Eid Salaah, and
to show happiness and gratification, to give charity in abundance, to walk modestly towards the Eid gathering, and to wish and congratulate one another after the Eid Prayer.

As much as Eid is a time of rejoicing, it is also a time of giving and sharing with those less fortunate than yourself. The Holy Prophet Muhammad [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] would always be the first to congratulate the poor and the orphans. We should also try to be as kind as possible on this day to our fellow Muslims. The Holy Prophet [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] has stated, "Smiling in the face of your brother is Charity."

Concept of Happiness in Eid

The concept of Eid is attached with happiness and happiness comes from success. Success is not what we declare as success. Success is in fact that which
Allaah Ta’aalaa states is success.
The count of days of the month of Ramadaan, are completing.
Laielatul Jaa’izah (first new moon of the night of Shawwaal) is coming.
Did we make Allaah Taa’aalaa and the Holy Prophet (Sallal Laahu Alaiehi Wa Sallam happy?

Charity in Ramadan

“The Prophet Muhammad [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] was the most generous amongst the people, and he used to be more so in the month of Ramadaan when Hazrat Jibraaeel [Aaliehis Salaam]visited him, and He used to meet him on every night of Ramadaan till the end of the month. The Prophet Muhammad [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] used to recite the Holy Qur’aan to Hazrat Jibraaeel [Alaiehis Salaam], and when Hazrat Jibraaeel [Alaiehis Salaam] met him, he used to be more generous than a fast wind (which causes rain and welfare). What is "Zakaat"?

"Zakaat" is, indeed, the name of permanent use of the attribute of sympathy and compassion which an affluent Muslim naturally has for his poor brother-in-faith or to say practical expression of sympathy and extension of a specific financial assistance and help by Muslims to one another is Zakaat (poor-due,poor-tax). But according to Shar'i terminology, Zakaat means to pay and make a Muslim beggar, indigent owner of a particular portion, share of one's riches, property on which Zakaat is due as fixed by Shari'ah.

WHAT is Salaat ut Tasbeeh?

A: For forgiveness of All Sins
Benefits of Salaat-Ut-Tasbeeh
Our Beloved Prophet Muhammed [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam]said to his uncle Hazrat Saiyyidinah Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him) Oh uncle shall I not give you Shall I not grant you Shall I not award you Shall I not do mercy on you When you do 10 things Allaah will forgive your sins: of the future and of the past; new and old; those you have forgotten and those you did knowingly; big and small; hidden and revealed.
He explained and taught the way to pray Salaat ut Tasbeeh and then said if you can pray this salaat once a day, if you can not pray once a day then every Friday, and even if this is not possible then once a month and even if this is not possible then once a year and even if this is not possible then at least once in a lifetime
