Deoband to Barelliy -by Hazrat Allaamah Kaukab Noorani Okarvi excerpts...

At this stage literate men and women specially the youths get very frustrated as there are many factions among-st the Muslims and each faction tries to prove itself to be right on the basis of the Qur’aan and the Sunnat and calls their opponents to be wrong.  The ‘Ulama (scholars) of each faction read the Qur’aan and Ahaadees they are committed to Namaaz and Rozah (fasting) and have kept beards and seem to be very knowledgeable in giving brazing arguments in favor of their own standpoint.  We the listeners and the readers whom should we consider right and whom to be wrong. Therefore, as a result of this confusion, they have stopped listening to Maulvees and going to the masaajid.

With the fear of Allaah honestly let me reply to this there is no doubt that you are very disturbed at the contradictory statements of the general Maulvees.  Generally people are not fully aware of the religious knowledge so they cannot recognize the truth and the false, the right and the wrong and they are not aware of the real facts so they get very frustrated.  In this situation the people are wrong because along with the worldly knowledge they don’t acquire religious knowledge and learn the truth with attention and interest.  And those who call themselves Maulvees they don’t tell the real truth to people and don’t fulfill their religious responsibilities and obligations completely with honesty and truthfulness.  They have perhaps forgotten that one day all of us have to depart from this mortal world and go into the dark and dreary graves.  And on the Day of Judgment we have to give account of our beliefs and acts before Almighty Allaah. Perhaps they have also forgotten that it is easy to deceive people by presenting wrong as right, but it is impossible to present wrong as right infront of Almighty Allaah.  These people should remember that they will be more accountable then others and will be more liable to go to Hell and suffer Divine torment for teaching wrong beliefs and acts.

They should not forget that the rule is the people showing the way to righteousness will receive rewards equivalent to the combined rewards of those engaged in that righteousness. The same way those who teach wrong things and give wrong training they will get the combined torments and sins of all those people who are following them and doing those wrong acts.  Any person who stands in awe of Allaah all the time and remembers his death he saves himself from every sin and evil.  Also if unknowingly or due to some other reason he makes a mistake then he should repent immediately. A person who is not scared of Almighty Allaah is dreadful.  No doubt only he is wise, who is attached to the fear of Allaah.

Lessons from The Glorius Islaam OF THE HOLY QUR'AAN

Q 1: What is Holy Qur'aan?
A. The Glorious Qur'aan is "Kalaam Allaah"(Speech of Allaah Kareem) which Allaah [Ta'aalaa] has gifted to His Beloved Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (may Allaah's choicest Blessings & Peace be upon him) who is the best and highest of all creatures. To believe in what it contains is a part and parcel of our Faith.
Q 2: How do we know that the Holy Qur'aan is "Kalaam Allaah"(Speech of Allaah Almighty)?
A. The Holy Qur'aan is itself a cogent proof of its being "Kalaam Allaah". It declares and challenges infidels and disbelievers that
"if you are in some doubt about what we have sent to Our chosen servant then bring one chapter like it". All the adversaries of Islaam (particularly the eloquent and rhetoric literati and poets of Arabia) put their heads together and strove hard to bring or produce a like of it but miserably failed to produce even a verse like it what to talk of any chapter. Thus the Holy Qur'aan is an "ever-challenging" phenomenon to disbelievers till the end of time.

Q 3: What is the exclusive distinction of the Qur'aan?
A. The ever-living miracle of the Glorious Qur'aan is that the believers even their children commit it to their memory in whole. Contrary to this fact the other revealed books could not be memorized by the followers of the books excepting the Prophets to whom the said books were revealed.

The Attributes of Allaah Almighty

Hadees shareef "The importance of mothers"

Our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) continually used to remind his followers of the status of the mother and the obligation of being good to one's parents.
The following narration is a beautiful example of the noble position of the mother:
A man asked the Prophet Muhammad [Sallal Laahu Alaiehi Wa Sallam], Peace and blessings be upon him, “Who is most deserving of my good company?” The Prophet said, “Your mother.” The man asked, “Then who?” The Prophet said “Your mother.” The man asked again, “Then who?” The Prophet said, “Your mother.” The man asked again, “Then who?” The Prophet said, “Your father.”

Hadees Shareef Namaz - Salaah

 Namaz - Salaah [Prayer]
Hadees Shareef states that it was winter and the Holy Prophet [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] came out of his Hujraa Shareef. He went to a tree, held its branch and shook it. This caused its leaves to fall off easily. He said: "When a Muslim reads Namaaz for Almighty Allaah, then his sins fall like the leaves of a tree".

White and Black

White and Black

“White and Black” was written by respected Hazrat Allaamah Kaukab Noorani Okarvi (May his excellence continue) in 1989 as a reply to a series of booklets by the name “Johannesburg to Bareilly” which was undermining the faith of Muslim and propagating vile misconceptions about Islaam. This English translation has been reedited by Maulana Okarvi Academy and now has been presented online. Read and enlighten yourself! … A must read!.

Eid Mubaarak

Eid Mubaarak

Sunnah of Prophet(SAWW) on Eid Day

To frequently read the Takbeers [Allaahu Akbar]
to show happiness and gratification, to walk modestly towards the Eid gathering, and to wish and congratulate one another after the Eid Prayer.
As much as Eid is a time of rejoicing, it is also a time of giving and sharing with those less fortunate than yourself. The Holy Prophet [Peace Be Upon Him] would always be the first to congratulate the poor and the orphans. We should also try to be as kind as possible on this day to our fellow Muslims. The Holy Prophet [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] has stated, "Smiling in the face of your brother is Charity."

WHAT is Salaat ut Tasbeeh?

A: For forgiveness of All Sins
Benefits of Salaat-Ut-Tasbeeh
Our Beloved Prophet Muhammed [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam]said to his uncle Hazrat Saiyyidinah Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him) Oh uncle shall I not give you Shall I not grant you Shall I not award you Shall I not do mercy on you When you do 10 things Allaah will forgive your sins: of the future and of the past; new and old; those you have forgotten and those you did knowingly; big and small; hidden and revealed.
He explained and taught the way to pray Salaat ut Tasbeeh and then said if you can pray this salaat once a day, if you can not pray once a day then every Friday, and even if this is not possible then once a month and even if this is not possible then once a year and even if this is not possible then at least once in a lifetime
